Campaign for Real Shire Ale is a friendly and relaxed co-operative of like minded players, who have come together to play and enjoy the Lord of the Rings Online on the Laurelin [EN RP] Server. Although we have a very relaxed and easy-going attitude to the comings and goings of our members, the following rules apply to every recruit and member of kinship and will be enforced, to ensure fairness and consistency. Please treat others as you would like to treated yourself. Any breach of the following rules or the ‘ideals’ of the Kinship may result in the dismissal from the Kin of all of the characters of the individuals involved.
1. Being part of a Kinship is about respect, helping each other out and sharing. Rudeness, greed and selfishness will not be tolerated.
2. C.R.S.A operates a policy of freedom. We have absolutely no expectations of anyone to be on at a certain time or sign-up to events. You can come and go as you please and you play the game as you please.
3. New recruits will serve a 2 week probation period before becoming a full kinship member.
4. You get out what you put in. The C.R.S.A Officers are not here to organize your online LOTRO life, it is up to each individual player to organize and sign-up to events that you want to do. C.R.S.A Officers are here as advisors to members, to ensure the kinship runs smoothly and to enforce the Kinship rules as required.
5. Alts are welcome in the kin and if you have any, please update your ‘Kin Note’ on the kinship tab to say 'Alt of [your main character name]'. (It makes it easier to promote and not expel). Members' alts will automatically be promoted to member as well.
6. The Kin house is paid for on a voluntary basis. There is no expectation of anyone to contribute, although if you can spare a week’s rent occasionally it would be appreciated.
7. All full members have access to the kin chests. If it is in the Kin House chests it is fair game, you DO NOT need to ask permission to take items, they have been put there for kin members to use. Please DO NOT abuse the privilege of having full access to the kin chests.
8. Help from kin members. You are free to ask for help from kin members as long as you follow the following guidelines: dont expect a high level character to help with a low level quest. First ask in LFF for fellowships, and only when that fails ask in kin channel. Only ask one time in kin channel for help, if no-one can help you please do not spam the kin channel with help requests.
9. Please be civil and friendly at all times, bad language (in anything but jest), racial, homophobic, or sexual taunts will not be tolerated and you will be kicked and reported.
10. When you join the Kinship you are clearly marked as a member of the Campaign for Real Shire Ale. Your behaviour in the game reflects on the rest of us. Any complaints from other players will be taken seriously. Bad behaviour includes; needing all the time or ninja'ing loot in fellowships, joining fellowships and leaving before the end because you are done, begging, from others, or the Kin, etc.
11. A Kinship is a collection of REAL PEOPLE, real people have their own wants and needs. They may not want to do your particular event then and there. Please don't get upset if the Kin doesn't help you all the time, that is what the LFF channel is for.
12. The best way to organise a Kin event is to use the website calendar (http://www.crsa.mmoguildsites.net/calendar) to arrange a date in advance. It is accessible by all Kin members, if you are having difficulty using it, please ask an officer.
13. If you ask someone to craft you an item, at least offer to provide the materials. Tier 4 and 5 items are very expensive to make. However it is much more fun to learn to do it yourself
14. Manners cost nothing. Please and thank you will go a long way to getting you any help you require. "Can anyone make me a bow" and "Can anyone make me a bow please" aren't the same.
15. You may leave the kin any time you choose and we will probably be happy to take you back again (especially if you are considered a valued player), but if you take the proverbial piss you will not be welcomed back.
16. If you have any issues with player in game (kin or non kin) please speak to one of the officers we may be able to help. CRSA has a good name and people messing around in the global channels does not help
17. If you have any issues with an in game situation ie loot assignment, not being selected for a group or being kicked out of a group for another player, please speak to us about it.
